Our Saturday Starters League (SSL) is open to recent graduates of a Learn 2 Curl program. This league is designed to assist in the transition from L2C to league play. Sign up as an individual and identify which position(s) you wish to play.
There are 2 series of 6 games. The league convenor builds the teams at the start of each series. Each game is scheduled to run for up to 2 hours.
Each week you will spend the first 30 minutes learning tactics and strategy. Then go out and play a 6-end game. Some weeks there will be no strategy and we will play 8-end games.
While we do track win/loss records for the games to determine who buys the first drink, this is a non-competitive league. We really are focusing on having fun and learning the nuances of etiquette and strategy. New curlers will gain experience through game play with our seasoned curlers and while having access to an on-ice instructor to answer all your questions.
Saturday Starters League is a very social activity. Many of our members develop lasting friendships with teammates and opposing players alike.
