Summer League is back for 2024!

Leagues:

Adult (17+)

• Men's, Women's & Open 4s (Recreational)
• Men's, Women's & Open 4s (Competitive/Pay per win)
• Open Doubles (Recreational)
• Open Doubles (Competitive/Pay per win)
• Mixed Doubles (Competitive/Pay per win)
• L2C - Learn to Curl - Intermediate
• 5U - For players that have played less than 5 Years

Format:

All leagues are team entry only, although we will do our best to accommodate any individual entries

• Each player must create an OCC account and register for their leagues individually
• Every effort will be made to accommodate returning teams
• The team roster is requested at the time of registration
• Adult leagues are for players 17+ years of age

Recreational vs. Competitive vs 5U

Many leagues offer both Recreational and Competitive curling. In addition, we have introduced a new 5U league for Novice teams/curlers with less than 5 years experience. 

• Recreational leagues are designed with recreational/social/developmental teams in mind. Great to get in shape for the regular club season! 
• Competitive leagues are geared toward teams who are playing at a more advanced level and want the thrill of playing for some cash. 
• 5U is designed for Novice teams/players with less than 5 years of curling experience. 

Participants:

Open to all curlers - Oakville Curling Club fall/winter membership is NOT required. 

When:

Starting Week of August 19th, 2024

• Monday Leagues will play 6 games vs 7 games for all others
• No curling on Monday, September 4th (Labour Day)

Registration:

Registration opens April 1st, 2024

• Registration link is located at the bottom of this page
• Registration for a league does not guarantee entry; Payment must be received in full for your team to be guaranteed a spot
• If some leagues have an overwhelming demand and others not so much, we will do our best to accommodate everyone. Register early to avoid disappointment.
• Individual players are encouraged to register for their preferred league(s) and use the Free Agents and Spares lists to find a team

Allocation of League Spots:

Priority is given to returning teams until May 1st for leagues

• New teams will be wait listed until returning teams are allocated their spot
  
• New teams can register at any time and will be notified of their entry status by May 1st. 

Payment:

Payment can be made by VISA or MasterCard only

• Fees will have HST and all applicable prize levies(For competitive leagues only)

Waiver:

All players (including spares) are required to read and agree to the following OCC documents/policies:

• Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims and Indemnity Agreement (18+)
• Informed Consent and Assumption of Risk Agreement (U-18)
• Concussion Code of Conduct
• Refund Policy
• Member Code of Conduct

Open Doubles (Recreational & Competitive)

Open Doubles leagues are open to any combination of genders. Try doubles curling for the fastest, most active format of the game!

• 2 adult players | 17 or older | any combination of genders
• Monday at 8.30pm (Note: Monday Sept 2nd is off due to Labour Day)

Recreational

• $350.00/team | $175.00/player
• No cash payout

Competitive

• Weekly winners receive $20/team
• $350.00/team | $175.00/player plus HST and Prize Levy

Mixed Doubles leagues are for more competitive teams who may be interested in playing in a regular season mixed doubles league, or in bonspiels or playdowns.

• 2 adult players | 17 or older | 1 male & 1 female per team
• Thursday at 8:45pm
• Weekly winners receive $20/team
• $350.00/team | $175.00/player plus HST plus Prize Levy

Traditional 4-player curling with an open format. Select an Open League to play with whomever you like! Great to get in shape for the regular club season! 

Recreational Adult

• 4 adult players | 17 or older 
• Tuesdays at 8:45pm (7 weeks)
• $700.00/team | $175.00/player plus HST
• No cash payout

Competitive Adult

• 4 adult players | 17 or older 
• Wednesday at 8:45pm  | Thursday at 8:45pm (7 weeks)
• Weekly winners receive $40/team
• $700.00/team | $175.00/player plus HST and prize levy

Men's & Women's 4s (Recreational & Competitive)

Traditional 4-player curling with a single-gender format.

• 4 players | 17 or older | Single gender only

Recreational

Be part of Oakville's fastest emerging sport - Curling. Learn the ABC's of sliding, throwing a rock, sweeping, etiquette and the rules. Whether you are new to the sport or have some experience, we have the class for you. 

Our experienced certified instructors will lead you through weekly sessions to hone your delivery so you can enter a league afterwards.

Be part of an exciting new league that puts novice and developing curlers together for an evening of fun and experiential learning. Don't be concerned about playing against an experienced team. This is for curlers that are new to the game and have curled less than 5 years.
