Janet Murphy(Monday Day Ladies/Wednesday Night Women), as third for the Jo-Ann Rizzo team won the Ontario Senior Women’s Curling Championship last weekend in Kingston, ON.
In a thrilling display of skill and teamwork, Janet, and her curling team of Jo-Ann Rizzo(skip), Lori Eddy (2nd) and Mary Chilvers (Lead) emerged victorious in a convincing 10-2 win over Sherry Middaugh to solidify their place in the province’s curling history.
Janet Murphy, a seasoned veteran of the sport, provided exemplary leadership to her team, inspiring them to perform at their best under pressure. Her strategic prowess and calm demeanor proved invaluable in critical moments, guiding her team to make the right decisions at crucial junctures of the competition.
Janet and her team will now represent Ontario at the Canadian Everest Senior Championships in Moncton, NB Dec 2-7, 2024.
