MR.SUB Named Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Senior Provincial Championship

Oakville, ON – January 16, 2026 – Oakville Curling Club is pleased to announce that MR.SUB has signed on as the Presenting Sponsor of the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Senior Provincial Championship. The event takes place March 11–15, 2026 at the Oakville Curling Club.

Curling Ontario’s Senior Provincial Championship will determine the Ontario representatives who will go on to compete in the 2026 Canadian Senior Curling Championships, which will be hosted in Saskatoon by Curling Canada.

The Ontario Senior Men’s Championship, established in 1965, has produced 12 national champions. The Women’s Championship, launched in 1973, has also produced 12 national champions. Most recently, Team Middaugh (Barrie Curling Club) became the 2025 Canadian Senior Women’s Champions.

MR.SUB is a key partner for this year’s championship. This Canadian-owned company was founded in Toronto, Ontario in 1968. MR.SUB has been a familiar and trusted brand in communities across the country for more than five decades. With growing interest in curling, particularly in an Olympic year, this partnership reflects MR.SUB’s commitment to supporting Canadian pastimes and community sport.

“MR.SUB is a welcomed sponsor, and we’re delighted to be working with such an established Canadian brand,” said Greg Irwin, President of the Oakville Curling Club and Chair of the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Senior Provincial Championship. “Their support will help us deliver a first-class championship experience for the players and the spectators at one of Canada’s premier curling facilities.”

As part of the sponsorship, MR.SUB will have a strong on-site presence throughout the event. The brand will provide nutritious meals for all the competitors and enhance the spectator experience with professional livestream coverage of the event.

Whether between draws or after a long day on the ice, MR.SUB offers a convenient and valued option for athletes and fans alike. With over 200 locations across Canada, MR.SUB is close to many curling clubs nationwide.

Registration for the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Senior Provincial Championship has now closed, with qualifying events currently taking place across the province. The championship field will consist of eight men’s and eight women’s regional qualifiers, all competing in Oakville for what promises to be an exciting week of high-level curling. Fans are invited to attend in person or watch the action via YouTube livestream.
