On Monday March 12th, 2024, a Special General Meeting (SGM) of the Members was held virtually to review and ratify proposed changes required for the Club’s Bylaws. The proposed changes were made to ensure the Club’s bylaws remain compliant with changes to the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010 (Ontario) proclaimed on October 19, 2021. In the meeting, the Governance Committee walked members in attendance through the shared material and answered all questions raised. A motion to approve the changes was then put forward which passed unanimously.
The approved Bylaws will be registered with the applicable Province bodies to show compliance. Once registered, they will be posted to the Club’s website (see the Resources > Policies & Waivers menu option) . For those wishing to review the presentation material, the Special General Meeting Materials webpage (see the Resources > SGM Material menu option) will continue to be available until the start of the next season; this includes updates to the Q&A documentation to reflect any additional questions asked during and post special general meeting.
