Oakville, ON – July 31, 2024 – The Oakville Curling Club is thrilled to announce that it has been selected by the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) for a significant grant aimed at enhancing accessibility and ensuring compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). This funding will play a crucial role in our commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all members of the community can enjoy the sport of curling.
Curling is a place for everyone, and for most people, their journey in the sport begins with small community clubs. As such, Oakville Curling Club members Scott Cooke and Erin Flowers wanted to give back. TSN's Bob Weeks has more.
The park on the north side of the curling club will initiate development on January 2nd, 2024. Please see the images as to what is being built as well as the fence that will be erected during the construction phase.
