We are excited to welcome both returning and new curlers to the Oakville Curling Club Summer League. Whether you are coming back for another great season, joining us for the first time, or signing up for one of our Learn to Curl programs, we look forward to another fun, competitive, and chill-out summer on the ice.
Registration for all leagues, returning members, new members, and Learn to Curl programs will open at 12:00 noon on April 1 and remain open until midnight on April 15. Registration will then close temporarily and reopen on May 1.
To help ensure a fair and organized registration process, please review the following guidelines:
Registration Guidelines
Returning Members
Returning members will have the right of first refusal to retain their place in the same league they played in the previous year. The period from April 1 to April 15 is the window for returning members to secure their position.
New Members
New members registration will open on April 1st as well, but we cannot confirm their selected league until April 17th. If a new member is not confirmed in their chosen league, they will be offered either:
- a full refund, or
- the opportunity to consider openings in other leagues
Team Preference Order
Teams will be prioritized using the following order:
- Four returning members
- Four returning members from one league moving together to another league
- Three returning members and one new member
- Two returning members and two new members
- One returning member and three new members
For all registrations, the time of registration will be used as the benchmark to determine priority.
Team Registration
A returning member or new member may register a team to have it placed on the league list. Once the team is confirmed in the league, all remaining team members must be registered by May 15th in order to secure the team’s place.
