Day Women’s Update

It’s been a busy and exciting year so far for the Day Women’s section. Here are some highlights:

Welcome Mat: We were delighted to welcome 20 new ladies to the DW section, who are now playing in our Monday Ladder League and/or the Tuesday/Thursday League.

DW update

New Curler Welcome Guide: DW created a guide with helpful information for new curlers and posted it on the OCC website. Click here to view

Record high registrations

Enrolment this year in both our Tuesday and Thursday Leagues have surpassed anything we’ve experienced in over a decade, with both days sometimes oversubscribed. Late registrants were put on a spares list so they’d still have an opportunity to curl.

Charitable donation

Our annual Trim-A-Tree bonspiel on December 13th was a great success again this year. We held a raffle for prizes and raised $865 for the Kerr Street Mission! We also had two cars filled to the brim with food and warm clothing items. Thank you everyone for your generosity.
