The Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act (“ONCA”) came into force on October 19, 2021 and groups have until October 19, 2024 to bring themselves into compliance with the 'new' act.
This newly formed Governance Committee continues to work through aligning our current OCC bylaws with the ONCA legislation that is required.
The OCC Membership will need to vote on the proposed set of updated bylaws, and we hope to do so in early 2024. We will keep you posted on our developments as they unfold.
