The Youth Programs at our Club are in need of volunteer instructors.
Our Teen Recreational program (aka Bantam/Junior) runs on Sunday's from 12-2pm and our Little Rock program runs on Sunday from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
One or both groups would welcome your involvement!
Many of the enthusiastic kids in these programs have parents who have not yet discovered the joy of Curling, and as such are not comfortable being on the ice.
Members from the Instructors Co-Op assist in the instruction of this program, but additional help is still required. The program is already written, so there would be no guess work for the volunteer instructors. Each week a specific skill has been identified, and an activity to develop that skill has been prepared. No advanced prep work or guess work is required!
The volunteer instructors lead the activity during the first half of the session. After a short break, there is an ~1-hour game. Volunteer instructors mentor the games - providing tips on etiquette, strategy, and form.
If you are interested in participating in this rewarding opportunity, all you need is police check and a positive attitude! Please contact the convenors for more information.
Our youth thank you for your consideration!
