Oakville International Curlers’ Gathering

oicg web croppedThe Oakville Curling Club is starting up a new, annual Bonspiel called the Oakville International Curlers’ Gathering which is based on a similar Gathering held for a long time in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The Oakville Gathering will host 32 teams over a 3-day weekend in late September 2023, a little less than a year from now. Four of the 32 teams have been set aside for Oakville CC Curlers to participate in and have the opportunity to play against teams from Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Czech Republic, USA and other parts of Canada. The Gathering is capped with a party / banquet called a Kitchen Ceilidh (pronounced Kay-lee) on Saturday night to be held at the Holiday Inn. The popular local group called Fiddlestix will provide live music for the occasion.

To participate in the Gathering, Oakville Curlers can sign up on-line on the Individual Sign-up Page on the Club’s Website. The cost per Oakville Curler will be $100 and will include a minimum of 2 games and admission to the Kitchen Ceilidh. Individual Registration is limited to 48 Oakville Curlers.

If you have any questions about the Gathering, contact Rick Brady or Dave Haigh.
